Instructions and Help about google research form
Hey guys let's lock up here in today's quick tutorial I want to walk you through the few simple steps you need to set up your first survey using Google Forms so let's take a look so in order to use Google Forms you have to be a Google user or sign up for Google Drive go to drive.google.com if you don't already have this set up the walk you through it to access forms once you're in Drive just head to new add-on temor hit Google Forms and it'll be taken to your first form here so right now we're looking at the really basic naked version of setting up your form you'll get to style it in the next step so the first thing you're going to want to do is title your form for me I use these most to survey my audience so I would you call it something like 2015 survey for Liz Locker comm so if you are using survey best practices and if you would like to learn more about those I've linked to those below this video here you're going to want to do a few things you're going to want to keep your survey super short you're going to start with using something called a qualifying question which basically makes sure that anybody filling out your survey is actually somebody you want to hear an answer for basically verifying that they're part of your audience so with that in mind let's say that I work to serve graphic designers who work for companies with 50 or more employees so I want to set up my survey to weed out anyone who is not in that class in that niche so what I want to do is start with some multiple-choice questions you can't work for a company that's 50 employees or more make it multiple-choice and then just start pasting in my answers here so once I've pasted in all of my answers I generally also like to add an other option for someone to select and then fill in their specific answer for this question I'm making it multiple-choice because I want my respondent to only choose one answer I wanted them to have the ability to check multiple boxes or check multiple answers I would select check boxes here so once that's completed I'm going to also make this a required question because I really need to know whether or not these people are people whose answers I should pay attention to because they're part of my target market once I'm done I hit done and I actually need to ask another qualifying question here so I'm going to just go ahead and hit duplicate and edit this one to fit my other question and we're going to keep the other and also keep this one required so and then we hit done in this scenario let's say that I am a Photoshop coach for graphic designers who.
